Seacoast Bank Going to Wellington!
The Seacoast team dominated the last two weekends of polo. They will be heading to the National Polo Center and represent The Villages Polo Club in the Regional President's Cup. The team, Paige Boone, Cruz Bilbao, Fedrico Pereyra Iraola and Frankie Bilbao, played hard and played consistently, ending with a 4 - 0 record.  As soon as we get official dates and times for the competition in Wellington, we'll send it out.
 


Tickets on Sale Until Apr 24 for Kentucky Derby Party
The Annual Kentucky Derby Party will take place on May 2, 5:30PM, at Seabreeze Recreation Center. This is the highlight of the year and it's always a great time! This is our annual fundraiser with the goal of raising money for the Villages Polo Club Academy, specifically a new horse, the Injured Players Fund and other needs. We will start off with our own version of the Derby, followed by dinner, so be prepared to race. We'll watch the Kentucky Derby using two screens and two streaming services. The silent auction will include a wide variety of goods, services and experiences. Lordi will be on hand to keep us entertained and to perform a live auction for some items, including a handmade quilt. There will be some magic in the air; keep an eye out for Wayne! Come out and join your fellow polo aficionados, players, grooms and sponsors. Wear your Derby finery and have fun! Remember that this is a BYOB event.

Greeters, Selfie and Raffle Ticket Volunteers Needed
The cash raffle on Sundays is going very well and we've raised approximately $5000 so far.  We could use some additional help to ensure we reach all attendees, both in the grandstand and tailgating. This effort will help us reach what we need for a new pony!

As our mission is to support the Villages Polo Club and the sport of Polo, we have the opportunity to do this every Friday and Sunday (raffles on Sunday only) in the Grandstand. We greet people with a smile and answer questions when they arrive at the Grandstand.  We assist those taking selfies in the photo booths by providing them a helmet, mallet and ball. And on Sundays, we conduct a cash raffle with all of the proceeds going to acquiring a new pony for the Polo School. Come have some fun with the crowd and help them enjoy the polo experience. Love polo? Enjoy being a member of the Pony Up Polo Boosters? You can help by becoming a member of the Board. It meets the first Wednesday of every month at Churchill Recreation Center at 10AM. Help out with spreading the word about Polo to our Villages community.  There are two requirements - love of the sport and a Villages ID card.  Come check it out at our next meeting on Apr 1.​
