Spring Party on March 7 at Field 3

The rivalry between polo student George Romero and the Pony Up Polo Boosters continued with the Destiny team defeating our Polo Booster team by one goal. Lordi served as our caterer! He served up hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, salad and baked beans. Everyone had a great time enjoying polo and delicious food. All in all a very succesful event with 56 (1/2 pictured above) Boosters in attendance.

Picnic With The Players Is In Two Weeks

On Mar 7, at 11AM, we will have fun on Field 3 watching the students and some pros play four chukkers. George Romero, a polo academy student, will host his guests on one side of the field while the Pony Up Polo Boosters will gather on the other side (where the horse trailers park). Some players will be wearing George's company shirts while others will be sporting our Pony Up colors. Dale will be announcing the match and there will be an awards presentation. Immediately following, the Boosters will have a picnic with the players. Lordi is bringing out his large grill and will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs. Salad and baked beans round out the menu. Bring your chairs and favorite beverages! Tickets are $15 to cover cost of food and the required parking staff.

We'll see our polo pony, Serena, on the field.

There are two driveways up to Field 3. The first goes to the right of the Polo Club Office. The Boosters will take the second driveway to get to where the horse trailers park on the far side of the field.

Game Day Raffles Are Back!

We were cleared to begin raffles during the matches. On Sunday, we raffled conducted a cash raffle and through the generosity of those in attendance, we took in $390!  The other half, we divided into four prizes of $400 each to four very happy ticket holders. The winning tickets were drawn during the trophy presentation. All proceeds will go to the Polo Academy for the purchase of a new horse. These raffles will be a great help in our fundraising, along with the annual Derby Party Auction and t-shirt sales. Thank you to all who purchased tickets!

Derby Silent Auction Items

The Annual Kentucky Derby Party will take place on May 2 at Seabreeze Recreation Center. Not sure if we'll see Lordi wearing a hat like in the photo but it's always a great time! We're requesting that our members ask their favorite businesses for donations. Love polo? Enjoy being a member of the Pony Up Polo Boosters? You can help by becoming a member of the Board. It meets the first Wednesday of every month at Churchill Recreation Center at 10AM. Help out with spreading the word about Polo to our Villages community.  There are two requirements - love of the sport and a Villages ID card.  Come check it out at our next meeting on Mar 4.
