     Decorate Your Own Horseshoe!

Open to friends and neighbors! They may not be big polo fans but they love all things horse related. These shoes make perfect gifts. Boosters can purchase additional tickets. Non members may reserve a slot by sending an email to ponyuppoloboosters@gmail.com.

Pony Up Pony Boosters invites its craftiest members (or not so crafty) to a unique event to kick off the Fall season. On Wednesday, September 30th, from 1PM to 4PM at American Legion Tri-City Post 18 on Rte 44 in Wildwood, we will be decorating horseshoes that came from our polo ponies! This is a make and take event. Each participant will make a patriotic themed horseshoe as part of a follow-along demonstration. Then each participant will make a second horseshoe with a theme of their own choosing. All supplies are included, although you are encouraged to bring your own hot glue gun and scissors. You may also bring your own decorations for your desired theme, keeping in mind that they need to be an appropriate size and can be glued. Hobby Lobby has a good selection. Bring your own lunch or snacks and beverages. Please RSVP on the website under events by September 1st. This class is limited to 60 participants on a first come, first serve basis. Cost is $20. If available, additional horseshoes may be purchased for $10. See you there!

We will have our Anniversary Party on Saturday, October 17th, 11AM to 1PM, at the Oxford Polo Club. We'll have a great time watching the students from the Polo Academy and a few pros play several chukkers. Lordi is also putting together what he calls a "dinosaur" match. He has players who used to be regulars at The Villages Polo Club and the Ocala Polo Club. Many are retired but have agreed to join the party and play a couple of chukkers. What a bonus to be able to speak with the players who were here at the beginning! Lordi will have his grill going with hamburgers, chicken and sides, just bring along your favorite beverages. Please RSVP by Oct 12 so we will have an accurate headcount for food purchases.

Time for New President, Treasurer, Board Members

I have had the honor of serving as President of Pony Up Pony Boosters for the last several years. I've enjoyed my tenure but it is time for me to step down. The Polo Boosters have been going strong for 32 years and we don't want to lose that legacy. So, if you have a real "Passion for Polo", good computer skills, and want to see the organization continue, please let me know. It is also helpful if you are a Villager and a passholder. I'll be available to show the new president how everything works, especially the Wix and Mailchimp software that we use for all of our business transactions.
In addition, our treasurer is also resigning and two of our board members who have been outstanding, hardworking individuals for seven years are resigning.
Please consider taking on one of these roles and keep Pony Up Polo Boosters going. Send an email to ponyuppoloboosters@gmail.com.
Thank you for your support, Beth.

Reminder About Fall Season Changes

A quick note to remind everyone about the changes The Villages Polo Club made to its admittance policy for the Fall Season. Only those with season (or annual) passes will be allowed to attend the matches, and only as tailgaters. The passholders may bring guests but they have to fit in your vehicle. If you have any questions, please contact the Polo Club.
